Helping people,
especially young people, discover the world of the Bible
lands in new and exciting ways.
Imagine being able to see replicas
and artifacts from the times of Hebrew and Christian
scriptures without traveling to the Middle East or Europe.
Imagine helping young people visualize
the stories of the Bible in a new and very exciting
way. This was the dream of B’Lou Carter and Co-founder,
Don Bassett. The dream materialized in 1997when the
Biblical Resource Center & Museum officially opened
its doors to the public. The facility included a Reference
Library, Bible Lab, Teacher Lab, Exhibit Gallery and
Museum Store. Education programs were developed and
included programs for tots, school age children, teenagers
and adults. Adult lectures and study tours to Biblical
sites provide additional instruction.
Response to the center/museum has
been rewarding. As a non-denominational organization,
the facility is open to all. Individuals and groups
have taken advantage of this unique resource and as
the museum moves to the downtown historic square it
will be even more accessible to the public.
Support of the non-profit, non-denominational
organization is from donations by individuals, groups,
corporations and grants. All donations are tax deductible
to the extent allowed by law.
