A non-profit, non-denominational
organization that presents the world of the Bible
by offering:
• Exhibits – including
ancient artifacts and replicas
• Adult lectures
• Archaeological Digs
• Mummy Workshops
• Bible Story Times
• Bible Lab – a self paced study of the
Bible
• Educational tours for school age children
and/or adults that include a slide presentation and
hands-on activities.
• Library – including multi-media materials
such as books, videos, audio tapes, and cd-roms that
offer educational and research opportunities
• Museum Store – educational material
pertaining to the Bible – the ancient Mediterranean,
Egyptian, and Near Eastern cultures of Bible times.
• Study tours to ancient Biblical sites in Greece,
Turkey and Israel.
• Membership opportunities that support the
operations of the organization with quarterly
newsletters, museum store discounts and the satisfaction
of bringing the Bible and the world of the Bible to
hundreds of young people every year.
The
Museum serves both students and teachers of the Bible
and its ancient backgrounds. The goal of the organization
in its new location is to expand its educational offerings
to its visitors through the enhancement of its Library,
Bible Lab, Exhibits, Teacher Resources and Educational
Programs for Bible teachers and students.
The museum and staff hold
membership in the American Association of Museums, the
Tennessee Association of Museums, the International
Council of Museums, Southeast Museum Conference, the
National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Collierville
Chamber of Commerce, Collierville Main Street and the
Memphis Convention Visitors Bureau.
